Ash Custody // v0.8
Artifact, manifest, and receipt remain separate strata. The browser may create an exact-byte artifact commitment; the server canonicalizes the custody manifest and final receipt under TD613-CJ-1. Every digest stays local by default and supports equality checks only.
Register artifact
A selected file is read and hashed in the browser. Raw bytes never enter the request. Leaving the picker empty produces L0 metadata-only registration.
A digest establishes neither possession, authorship, authenticity, identity, permission, truth, nor trusted time.
Replay or migrate
Paste a receipt or manifest. Replay verifies v0.8 digests. Migration accepts v0.5 and v0.7; a v0.5 content hash stays quarantined and cannot become an artifact digest. A v0.7 L1 digest survives only after its local-commitment boundary validates.

Derivative transport held
Cinder plaintext transport remains disabled until Phase 6. Veil, Compare, Recall, Leak Challenge, and other inherited v0.6 research surfaces retain their prior jurisdiction; Phase II adds no execution authority and no new claim-ceiling mechanism.
